All students seeking admision to the Honours subjects in the degree courses will have to secure at least 45% in the aggregate in the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination. The minimum eligibility criteria in the subject at the H.S. level for the following honours subjects are given as follows: |

- 60% (in theory), and 50% in Maths, Zoology - 60%, Sanskrit |

- For the other Honours subjects, apart from Philosophy and Political Science, the minimum eligibility is at least 45% in the subject.

- For Political Science and Philosophty Honours, the minimum requirement is 45% in the aggregate in any stream (Arts, Science and Commerce) at the H.S. level.

- For pass courses, pass marks will be required in the H.S. Exams.

| Important Notes: |
| a) Env. Studies will not be taken into account while calculating aggregate. |
b) CBSE / ISC students not taking English (Hons.) will be persuaded to take English as one of the Pass subjects. |
| c) All Geography Hons. students will have to take Economics Pass if they have the subject at the H.S. level. |
| d) Students wanting Env. Science Hons. must have Science background in (10+2) level. |
